Would you like to stroll around your city and discover new corners or hidden squares you have never seen before? How cool would it be to walk the streets on an urban treasure hunt? We thought about it and that’s how the Tour Quiz was created.
The idea was born from the desire to propose something innovative to rediscover the pleasure of culture by combining it with play and fun. In fact, the format allows you to explore and get to know a city in an original and dynamic way. But what exactly is a tour quiz? The Tour Quiz is an urban and cultural treasure hunt, a game in which the competitors, divided into teams or in pairs, must find the correct answer to questions that are asked at each stage of the route. Through this mode, the visitor becomes a player and puts himself to the test in first person looking for the answers to cultural questions also moved by the competition with the other teams. At the beginning of the tour we meet at the starting point where the organizers deliver the necessary material, that is a sheet with questions and creative activities for the players, a booklet with historical-cultural information on each place that will be seen along the route and which will be the guide, a map with the stages of the tour and bracelets to distinguish the members of the various teams. The goal is to complete the tour in a certain amount of time and answer as many questions as possible in the correct way. At the end of the course, we find ourselves at the final point where we check the results and decide which is the winning team, which will receive a small prize.
The Tour Quiz is therefore a cultural variant of the traditional treasure hunt, the answers to be found and the proposed activities are related to monuments and attractions that are located in the city, so as to discover information and curiosities about their history, enriching one’s cultural background and becoming a little child through play.
