THROUGH THE CENTURIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get a taste of almost 3000 years of history starting from the Colosseum, the Forums of the Emperors to the Capitoline Hill, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Roman Forum. See the evolution of the ancient imperial city of its heyday to the Middle Ages, when the former city centre was transformed into a cow pasture.<\/p>\n

The Capitoline Hill, so magnificently designed by Michelangelo today, had become a goat hill in the Middle Ages and was located on the outskirts of the city. With the Renaissance, Rome began an unending effort to transform the city once again into a city of culture with venerable buildings. The first collections of antique statues were created, great master builders and artists such as Michelangelo and Raphael worked in the city and began the Renovatio Urbis.<\/p>\n

The 17th century then finally brings the present cityscape with artists such as Bernini and Borromini. Our walk takes you to the Trevi Fountain and ends in the magnificent baroque square Piazza Navona.<\/p>\n
